ULI Chicago Mentorship Program Concludes with Local Leadership Reception

On Thursday, December 4, 2014, mentors and protégés of the ULI Chicago Mentorship Program gathered at the Four Seasons Hotel to celebrate and conclude the 2014 program year. The closing reception was the final event organized by the Program to facilitate meaningful mentor relations between Young Leaders and established ULI industry leaders. Protégés were also invited to attend the 20th Annual Lifetime Achievement Award Dinner directly following the closing reception. Village of Winnetka Completing ULI Panel Recommendations

ULI Chicago conducted two panels in 2013 in Winnetka addressing the Village’s commercial health, identifying retail opportunities, and outlining strategies for a stronger partnership between the Village, retailers and owners. One of the key recommendations of the panel process was to appoint an Economic Development Coordinator who could serve as a liaison for the local business community and work pro-actively to create a business-friendly environment in Winnetka. Panel Recommendations Taking Shape Along Devon Avenue Corridor

The Village of Lincolnwood has made significant progress in implementing some of the key recommendations from the Devon Avenue Corridor TAP completed by ULI Chicago in Fall 2013. The ULI panel emphasized the importance of creating a TIF district to finance much-needed infrastructure improvements and attract private investment along the corridor.
