A Tale of Two Uses: ULI Chicago Young Leaders Tour the Loews Tower

On Wednesday, October 8th, thirty-five young leaders were given the opportunity to tour the currently under construction Loews Tower in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood. The 50-story tower is located at 455 North Park Drive and will be home to 398 luxury residential units, a 400-key hotel, parking, and street level retail and dining. This project is part of a larger planned development focused on revitalizing the neighborhood and connecting Chicago’s riverfront and lakefront to Michigan Avenue. Young Leaders Get Insider View of New City Development from ULI Governor, John Bucksbaum

On Tuesday, September 9th, over 100 Young Leaders gathered for an overview of one of Chicago’s largest urban developments, New City. University of Chicago Arts Incubator is Catalyst for Change

On June 25th, ULI Chicago members toured one of Chicago’s newest cultural assets, the University of Chicago Arts Incubator, part of the University’s Arts + Public Life Initiative. On September 26th, The Hines development team led by Greg Van Schaack and Tom D’Arcy guided a group of ULI Young Leaders through the development of their Wolf Point and River Point projects. Over 145 people, including 30 ULI members, attended “What Lies Ahead” on April 16th to hear the outlook on the Midwest, U.S. and global economies according to Charles Evans, President, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.  The event, presented in cooperation with ULI Chicago and the Public Affairs Committee of the Union League Club of Chicago, included a Q & A session and networking.
