The Village of Lincolnwood applied for and was awarded funding from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning’s (CMAP) Local Technical Assistance (LTA) program to evaluate the redevelopment potential in the Devon Avenue corridor between McCormick Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue.
CMAP and the Village of Lincolnwood selected ULI Chicago as the technical assistance partner to advance the project with a 2-day Technical Assistance Panel (TAP). ULI experts in development, market feasibility, finance, land use, and design met on September 10-11, 2013 to tour the study area, interview community and business stakeholders, and explore different strategies for redevelopment along the Devon corridor.
Devon Avenue crosses the boundary between Lincolnwood and the City of Chicago, and, as a result, officials from the City of Chicago were invited to participate in the panel to enhance multi-jurisdictional collaboration.
