ULI Releases Retail Report co-authored by Chicago Member

A new ULI report, Retail in Underserved Communities, explores factors that hamper retail development in some lower-income communities, offers solutions to overcome the dearth of shopping options for neighborhood residents, and includes case studies exploring how retail development sparked revitalization efforts. Young Leaders Share Lunch and Conversation with Cook County Commissioner Bridget Gainer

On Thursday, November 13, 2014, twenty young leaders gathered for a “Brown Bag Lunch” to listen to and dialogue with Cook County Commissioner Bridget Gainer at the offices of Related Midwest. ULI Chicago Launches Retail Initiative with 2-day Workshop

ULI Chicago kicked off its 2-year retail initiative by convening a workshop on October 29-30, 2014 to address the challenges that suburban communities face in maintaining and attracting successful retail developments. The workshop brought together 15 experts including retail developers, investors, public sector representatives, planners, and engineers to help define the framework that must exist for retail development to thrive in the 21st century. ULI Chicago Young Leaders Give Back to Community

300 East Randolph Wins 2014 ULI Global Award for Excellence

Chicago development, 300 East Randolph, has been selected as a winner of the 2014 ULI Global Awards for Excellence competition, widely recognized as the land use industry’s most prestigious recognition program. The development was previously honored with a local ULI Chicago Vision Award (2012 Project Category: Innovation).
