Vision Awards Spotlight: Indian Boundary Park Nature Play Center – A New Take on an Old Classic

Opened in 1922, Indian Boundary, is a 13-acre, urban park on Chicago’s northwest side named for an actual boundary line between the US government and three Indian tribes. The park includes a fieldhouse which is now on the National Register of Historic Places incorporating Native American and Tudor design elements. For most City dwellers, Indian Boundary is fondly remembered for its small zoo, a rarity among neighborhood parks, and a quirky addition. ULI Studies Cargo-Oriented Development in Willow Springs, IL

ULI Chicago is conducting a Technical Analysis Workshop today, September 1st, in Willow Springs, IL to evaluate development opportunities for vacant sites located along the Sanitary and Ship, and I & M Canals. The workshop experts will look specifically at current and future industrial uses, options for integrating and optimizing transportation modes, and infrastructure improvements that will enhance development and amenities that already exist in the study area.
