On April 3-4, 2018, a Technical Assistance Panel convened by ULI Chicago at the invitation of the Village of Mundelein, IL, worked collaboratively to prepare recommendations regarding redevelopment potential and appropriate land uses for key sites along Mundelein’s southside corridor. In summer of 2016, ULI Chicago convened a Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) to help the Village of Gurnee create a plan to reinvigorate East Grand Avenue.  The TAP team included planners, developers, architects, financiers, market researchers and economic development specialists, all members of ULI Chicago. Panel Recommendations Presented at Public Meeting in Gurnee

ULI Chicago panelists presented recommendations for revitalizing East Grand Avenue in Gurnee at a public meeting attended by stakeholders including area residents, businesses, and local elected officials. Village of Gurnee Requests Assistance in Revitalizing East Grand Avenue Corridor

Panel Recommendations Taking Shape Following Woodstock TAP

ULI Chicago’s TAP recommendations are guiding the City of Woodstock as it moves forward with rehabilitating the Old Courthouse and Sheriff’s House in its historic Square. One of the key recommendations of the Woodstock TAP was to form an Advisory Board that could lead the charge, and build broad support at the community and regional level for these historic structures.
