Panel Recommendations Taking Shape Along Devon Avenue Corridor

The Village of Lincolnwood has made significant progress in implementing some of the key recommendations from the Devon Avenue Corridor TAP completed by ULI Chicago in Fall 2013. The ULI panel emphasized the importance of creating a TIF district to finance much-needed infrastructure improvements and attract private investment along the corridor. This specific recommendation helped move the stalled TIF proposal through the approval process and, as a result, the Village Board created the Devon-Lincoln TIF District in June 2014. ULI Chicago TAP Explores Devon Avenue Corridor Redevelopment

The Village of Lincolnwood applied for and was awarded funding from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning’s (CMAP) Local Technical Assistance (LTA) program to evaluate the redevelopment potential in the Devon Avenue corridor between McCormick Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue.
