Chicago Committee on Design – A Peer Review

In
July of 2021, the City of Chicago introduced a group of design professionals
coined the “Committee on Design”. This group is tasked to provide “advisory
guidance to DPD staff and members of a project's development team.” While this
group will focus on Public-Private Partnership projects, including those in TIF
zones and those part of the INVEST South/West Initiative, they will also review
Planned Developments that are 80-feet or taller, involve 2,500 residential
units, or are larger than 10-acres.
Please
join the ULI Chicago Young Leaders for a discussion on the Committee’s goals, processes and
what to expect for future Chicago projects affecting communities, developers,
architects, and engineers.
