Join us for the sixth installment of the WLI Breakthrough Series, featuring Stacie
Young, President and CEO of the Community Investment Corporation, in
conversation with former Department of Buildings Commissioner Judy Frydland.
Longtime friends and collaborators, Stacie and Judy have built their careers on
a reputation for thoughtful, hard work combined with a genuine and savvy
approach to relationship-building. Stacie brings these skills to bear in her
new role heading a fifty-year old CDFI during a critical time that calls for a
balance of sensitive leadership and decisive action.
Having successfully advanced policies to support naturally
occurring affordable housing at the City of Chicago and in the policy advocacy
sector, at CIC Stacie now runs a leading community development lender that is
shaping Chicago’s future by investing in its neighborhood entrepreneurs.
For the first time since January 2020, you are invited to
participate, in person, in this Breakthrough Series conversation between two
friends and top leaders in Chicago real estate as they explore the ingredients
of successful leadership in 2022 and beyond. Guests are welcome to continue the
conversation over appetizers and drinks at the conclusion of the program.
