Gerald Hines founded his namesake firm in Houston in 1957 and pioneered quality architecture as a new business model in commercial real estate. Since inception, the Hines firm has steadily grown into a global powerhouse in real estate investment, development and management. Hines Midwest Headquarters was established in Chicago in 1984 and currently has 707 employees and more than $23 billion in assets under management.
