ULI Works...in Chicago: Fall Meeting BuildUp - Explore Chicago's Neighborhoods
September 30, 2013
Chicago is a city of distinct neighborhoods and local identity. The City’s character is defined by the people who live, work and play here. Culture and ethnicity play a large part in the grid of neighborhoods that span Chicago. Pilsen, one of the fastest changing areas of the City, located just a short distance from McCormick Place, is an historic Latino neighborhood that has been at the center of a vibrant arts, education, and community redevelopment effort.
Join us for “A Neighborhood Revitalized: Chicago’s Pilsen”, a Speed Learning session, Thursday, November 7, at 9:45 am at the Fall Meeting. Take 45 minutes out of your schedule and hear how this urban neighborhood is revitalizing itself with residential buildings, new public schools, and unique university housing. Then, get out and see it for yourself!
With over 200 designated neighborhoods, Fall Meeting participants need to venture out and experience the “real” Chicago. Take advantage of the special interest tours and mobile workshops designed by ULI Chicago members that highlight the best-of-the-best!
