Cook County Land Bank Ordinance up for Approval

ULI Chicago released their Cook County Land Bank TAP report last month which has informed discussions around the proposed countywide land bank.  Panel member, Will Towns, The University of Chicago Office of Civic Engagement, provided expert testimony before the Cook County Finance Committee today on behalf of ULI Chicago referencing the TAP report recommendations.  After additional testimony from many supporters, the land bank ordinance was approved by the Committee and is now set to go before the Cook County Board for a vote tomorrow.
