CTA Releases RFI for Development Opportunities at Wilson Station Following ULI Panel
May 22, 2013
In April 2012, ULI conducted a Governors Advisory Services Panel on the CTA Wilson Red Line Station focusing on several physical, institutional, and organization improvements that could help the CTA and the city move forward with a redevelopment strategy. The CTA was seeking to understand the market potential for development opportunities on CTA-owned land that would be compatible with the planned improvements to the transit infrastructure specifically at Wilson Station.
Among other strategies, the panel recommended redevelopment of key parcels near the station. Last week, the CTA released a Request for Information for the redevelopment of the existing Gerber Building and certain areas of vacant land.
