ULI Chicago partnered with the National Trust to promote reuse of Chicago’s older building stock by identifying significant barriers and proposing solutions to help overcome them. The Partnership’s Action Agenda, launched on May 16th, is the result of a year-long stakeholder engagement process supported by extensive data analysis to highlight the strength of Chicago’s existing urban fabric.
ULI Chicago will continue to harness the knowledge and enthusiasm of its members and community stakeholders, and work in close collaboration with the City of Chicago to implement the Building Reuse Action Agenda over the next year which include three primary components.

The Action Agenda launch event included the release of a summary report “Building on Chicago’s Strengths: The Partnership for Building Reuse” that includes detailed recommendations supporting the implementation plan.
