The ULI Chicago Membership Committee recently hosted their annual New Member Happy Hour, but this year, for the first time, via Zoom. New members got an inside look into the types of opportunities that exist for ULI members. Committee chairs from the Membership, Public Policy, Programming, WLI, Young Leaders, and the Chicago Product Council’s all spoke about their respective committees and what the ULI mission includes.  Additionally, we shared the benefits of ULI, how your membership can better serve you, including:

• ULI’s Knowledge Finder & the ULI Member Directory:  ULI has two online platforms we highly encourage you taking a look around!
  • The ULI Member Directory allows you to access any member across the nation.
  • ULI’s Knowledge Finder is a collection of the global knowledge ULI and its members have – providing you access to reports, case studies, reading lists, events library, videos, webinars and books.

  • Each Tuesday ULI Chicago releases our “weekly email” containing all the important information on upcoming events, ULI National webinars and key reports and resources YOU have access too.
  • Have you heard about our “Front Stoop Series” that takes place every Thursday at 4pm?  Join us for a neighborly conversation on the stoop on relevant industry information.   Registration opens each Friday and these sell-out in minutes, so watch your email!

The Virtual New Member Happy Hour concluded as most happy hours do, with networking!  Attendees gathered in break-out rooms to get better acquainted with each other. Conversations included: current opportunities in CRE, how COVID-19 has impacted them personally and professionally, and their CRE outlook.
