ULI Chicago Convenes Technical Assistance Panel to Elevate State Street

Urban Land Institute Chicago (ULI Chicago), with support from the City of Chicago’s Department of Planning and Development (DPD) and The Chicago Loop Alliance (CLA), is convening a Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) to help Elevate State Street, from Wacker Drive to Ida B. Wells Drive, into a vibrant urban corridor.

In preparation for the TAP, the 12-member panel reviewed extensive background information and completed a walking tour of the study area. During the TAP (taking place June 28-29, 2023) the panel will meet with over 60 stakeholders including area residents, business and property owners, civic and institutional leaders, City of Chicago staff, and elected officials to gather their input. The panel will work collaboratively over two days to develop recommendations to help Elevate State Street as a key corridor in the heart of Chicago’s Central Area.
