ULI members discussed many issues that should be addressed to maintain and enhance the competitiveness of our region in the future. Affordable and varied housing options that serve the needs of people in different life stages including young families and seniors; enhancing mobility by embracing transportation optimization techniques and improving options for first-mile and last-mile for transit trips; and, recognizing and addressing challenges arising from suburbanization of poverty were some of the challenges discussed during the workshop.
CMAP is continuing to seek input from industry leaders and residents throughout the region. We encourage ULI members to share their thoughts with CMAP by participating in their online survey.
ULI Chicago will continue to support CMAP’s efforts as both organizations look to shape the future of the region.
